Keaten's Gymnastics Pass

I just have to brag about my niece a little. Keaten had a gymnastics meet on Saturday. They get there and about an hour before she is up to compete they start toying around with maybe putting her in the level above her and have her do a pass that she has never practiced much less competed. Once she goes into that level she can't go back down, so it was a pretty big deal. They have a few practice passes before the real deal. She did them and decided that she was going for it. She was a nervous wreck, we all were :) But as you can see above she did a fantastic job and took second. She is awesome, I am soooooo proud of her for always pushing herself and being the best that she can be (which if you ask me is pretty dang good ;)

So it was my friend Jeremy's 30th birthday. The theme was disco skating, 70's party, Saturday Night Fever, Studio 54, whatever you want to call it.... IT was a blast, is what it was :) Even if it was a 13 year old heaven. Seriously, where did all of those kids come from???

So as you can see from the pic's we dressed up in our best 70's clothes. Shantell pulled out her long flowing chiffon dress and gold sunglasses. Me in my polyester bell bottoms, platform shoes, leather fringe jacket and blue eyeshadow. Jeremy was by far the star of the show (it was his birthday you know) with his bellyshirt, fur coat, feather boas and Afro wig.... We were groovy baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it's been about a month since I blogged. I'm telling you Christmas really takes it out of you :) both time and energy wise. I went down to Salina and it was so much fun being with the kids on Christmas morning. They are absolutely dolls all of them.
New Year's was pretty laid back this year. We went to a friends house first and then ended the night at Shauna's and Rhett's playing rock band and missing the ball drop :) Seriously, we were in the middle of a song on Rock Band when the clock struck midnight lol...
